Ambient temp sensor

My temp sensor is messed up. I have read the threads on the subject here and found several part numbers to replace that sensor.

The one that keeps showing up on this forum is

F3VY-12A647-A

which MSRPs for $101.00 (ouch)

Then I found a sensor, which looks identical and uses the same base part number:

F87Z-12A647-AA

which MSRPs for $20.67.

Obviously I like this better.

Can anyone tell be the difference between these two?

FWIW, I've also found the following parts that seem to be identical:

Motorcraft: DY-718
Napa: TS4005

There's not alot of difference in any IAT sensor, just the connections mostly

Ended up getting the Napa part. Perfect match, identical connector, temp is right on the money.

Autozone and checker can also get this part:

AZ: Wells SU2182
Checker: TS12

Neither had it in stock, was 3 day delivery. Napa had it, was $19.

Why anyone would pay Ford $101 for this sensor is beyond me.
