Dealer will not install them. They may farm it out to a small local shop, who will put aftermarket stuff in there and charge you a ton of money.
A small shop can put them in for about five times what it is worth.
I just finished my power mirror install on my STX. I have put power windows, power door locks, remote keyless, alarm, cruise on my STX. I bought a fairly plain STX last year and have done a lot of mods. You can do them yourself if you are handy with tools for very little money, or you can find a local shop.

I was quoted 700 for adding power windows from local shops. That is for two windows.

I did it myself for less than 50 bucks. Under a 100 is common.

I was quoted 260 bucks to add a keyless and two power locks.
I did it myself for about 60 bucks for everything.

This is the normal spread on having it done Vs. doing it yourself.
04-05-06 new model trucks are very easy to work on. You do not need a lot of special tools on this truck to do this stuff.

In the 2004 up forum there are dozens of threads on doing it yourself for windows and for locks, keyless, etc.

I am doing power locks for $45

Looks very simple, Includes wirting diagram also. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/97-03...23151539QQrdZ1

I am debating on power windows because I have had those fail in previous cars. The power locks are helpful in houston(rainy) weather and as a car finder. Also has an AUX feature(let it be foglamps, trunk, whatever). It will probably take me a full day to correctly and nicely install all of this alone.

you might be able to do this yourself if you do some research, i have an 03 xl sport reg cab flairside... i bought the xlt door panels and power window kit and actuators for the doorlocks, then wired it all up with relays and all that good stuff to the factory switches and also hooked up the dimmer to the switches so everything lights up at night like its supposed to.. its a pain in the *** but it did not cost me very much to do and i think using factory xlt door panels looks lot nicer than hooking up some aftermarket switches

the 05 stx shouldnt be any different you might even have the wireing behind ur door panels, i dont know.. but i know that these things come wired for a lot.. im hooking up my xlt turn signal mirrors in a few weeks..

Doing the panels and switch pods is an option, as is getting the factory parts. There is no wiring in STX doors except the speakers. STX/XL comes with no extra wires, except the cruise control.
I have added power seats, mirrors, windows, keyless, locks, to my truck. None of the wiring was there. They also do NOT sell the harness from Ford for any of those things. To use factory parts you must fabricate plugs wires etc. on the new model trucks.
Also, new model stuff is still pretty rare. To use factory stuff costs better than three times the maximum of aftermarket stuff, and is often lighter duty or less flexible than aftermarket.

Example, I have installed aftermarket locks and keyless entry, total 60 bucks. I have installed factory PowerCode locks and keyless for 200. Less options, and didn't fit or work any better. Took up more room also.

Still, mounting the switches is always a pain, and maybe it is worth the 300-500 extra to do it that way. If it was cheaper it sure would be better.
