Unhappy Horn keeps going of when no one is around

i have a 97 F-150 XLT. I came home the other day and went inside. As I was getting ready for bed the horn went off. I got up and hit the horn and it quit. A few min. later the horn went offf again. This time I went out and pulled the relay for the horn. What can I do to make this go away. Is it a bad clockspring, a short, or is it something else to do with the cruise contol.

Any help would be great.

Stupid wires

I decided to put in my horn relay and unplug the cruise control mod. Now the thing works great. Horn beeps only when you want it to and not uncontrollably.

happened to me on my 98.

I used the horn in the rain (in cold weather) At night when the temp dropped, the water would expand and set the horn off. Get in the truck, tap the steering wheel and it would turn off.

My mechanic replaced the relay and no other problem
