Horn shorting out

What's up guys? I have a '97 F-150. When I first got it (used) I looked everything over and noticed one of the horns was disconnected. So I hooked it back up. But when I did it blew the fuse(s) for cruise, horn, and something else cannot remember. Just curious what would be causing it to short? It has been disconnected for a while now and I am wanting both horns to work. Only one sounds like it's sick. Thanks

Could you just replace the horn and all be good again?
