Interior/Cargo light half works

Interior/Cargo light half works
I'm new here, so please bear with me. 
I have a 1995 F150 XL that has a problem with the interior/cargo light. The lights will not work when the drivers door opens. But, they will work when the passenger door is opened or if you use the **** on the dash to turn them on manually. I checked all the fuses and I even replaced the door switch...no luck.
Anybody have any thoughts??
