OEM electrical tape

I'm doing some under the hood wiring, and I would like to use the same tape as original to re-wrap the convoluted sheathing.
I don't seem to get good adhesion with regular electrical tape.

Any suggestions?

Use Scotch brand by 3M electrical tape, no exceptions. It comes in various widths, measure the OEM before you buy. Start at the point at which the wires are closely joined, a plug for example, and work out wrapping the tape over itself by at least one-half a layer. When the wires begin to fan out, or you reach the end of the bundle, cut off the tape-don't pull. It should go without saying however; it works best on clean wire and if the temps are above 65 degrees.

Good Luck!

Thanx flafonman-
Good electrical tape is is something tat I always have plenty of on hand.
It looks like the tape I removed had no adhesive, and could be better for some of the intersections I want to tighten up.
But after nine years or so, maybe the adhesive is gone.
