Power Sliding Rear Window

'05 Lariat Supercab

My rear power window will not move at all sometimes. I was working outside yesterday and tried for 5 minutes or so pushing the power button back and forth and got nothing. No sound, no movement, although the interior lights did dim like it was drawing power. I had the keys turned for aux power and was able to roll down the driver and passenger windows with no problem. I even started the truck to see if that had anything to do with it, nothing. I gave up on it for the time being and came back an hour later and sure enough it worked. This has happened before while driving, parked, idling... It's weird, b/c as soon as it starts working it will work continuously thereafter.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Try to duplicate the problem in front of the service manager. Sounds like something is binding.

I have a 2005 F-150 and the rear sliding window has stopped completely Push button and nothing happens. Have you got yours to work all the time and if so what was wrong that you got fixed. If you can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Maybe a quick check of the track to make sure it is not blocked ( if you have not already ).

This is if your lights dim when you push the button either direction.

Once direction it is closed, the other the window can't open.

Also, have you had your rear seat back out ?

I have the same type of problem with mine on my 04, the window just intermittently decides it doesn't want to work, tried to get dealer to take care of it but couldn't repro it, big surprise!

I'm working on installing a stereo system and took the rear seat out and noticed some water on the floor below the window near the motor, that could definatly be the culprit or at least part of it. If you have the time and desire I'd recommend checking back there for water leaks. The backrest is a bitch to get out though, be prepared. There are a few easily found posts on how to get it out, just search.
