Fog lights with parking lights on

Does anyone know how to get the fog lights to stay on when i have the parking lights on. Also I would like to have them on in high beam. I have a '03 F-150 and I have searched the threads and only found one good detailed article on the '97 models for this mod. Thanks

Parking lights are for PARKING. In most states it is ILLEGAL to drive a vehicle with only the PARKING lights on (although this is rarely enforced). Fog lights are for DRIVING IN FOG. This means DRIVING. Does anybody see the conflict here?

BTW, how do we stop the morons who drive with their emergency flashers on whenever it rains?

Here's the article:

Fog Lights

It works for the models up to the 2004 Heritage.

Technically fog lights would be amber or yellow.

"Fog" refers to the beam pattern - not only the color. A "fog" pattern is very wide and flat and not designed to throw light very far down the road. A "driving" beam on the other hand is generally fairly narrow and throws light much further down the road. "Auxillary" lights can be just about anything as far as pattern goes. These are generally sold at Wally World for folks who just want to look cool and can be any color. Yellow used to be thought to penetrate through fog, but many recent studies have shown that not to be true.

That seems easy enough to do.

All I want is for the fog lights to be on with the parking lights and the headlights, so I might just tap the wires instead of filing the collar.

Thanks for the link.

I have a 99 Expy that I just tried the fog light mod using the thread Fog Light and well, I failed so far. I had the fog lights come on with the switch on the parking light setting, but when I turned on the headlights, the fog lights turn off... so after trying a few things, I no longer have working headlights, parking lights, fog lights, or interior lights that light up the guages, the window switches, or the exterior lights. I have no idea what happened because I ran out of daylight. I checked most of the fuses related with all this, so I'm thinking maybe I blew out the parking light relay. I know the multi function switch is working cause I still have turn signals and brake lights and backup lights....Looks like tomorrow will be a fun day of testing and doing lots of banging my head against the wall!!
