Headlight Aim
Headlight Aim
. Can anyone help give me hint? I just changed out my old faded headlights for some newer salvage yard lights on my '01 Screw, the aim is way off on the drivers side. Should I just pull the old fastners off my old healights and snap them on my newer lights?,,, cause the old ones are aimed perfect. Or is there an easier way to get to the plastic adjusters??

The most common problem with aim being off on reinstallation of the headlight housings is getting them in wrong. (Ask me how I know that.) I'd suggest re-checking the installation first. The easiest thing to get wrong is mis-aligning the aiming bolts on the headlight housings in the pins that stick out of the truck. The "X" shaped guides need to slide right down the center of the support pins and it is possible to get these in wrong. Try that, then get back to us if you actually need to re-aim.
*2stroked*, Thanks for the help, I think I had them in right. I yanked out my lenses and checked out the fastners, I popped off and swapped the top for the bottom screws on the back of the lens. the top is supposed to be a tad longer than the bottom one (I looked at my old lenses that I took off that were perfect). I guess that when the salvage yard guys pulled them out, they got 'em missplaced in the wrong holes. Those tricky "X's".
