Hey guys, i was wanting to take my truck into a shop to get my sylvania xenarc kit installed, i told them what needs to be done, and every damn shop has came back saying "oh it will take up to 5hours to do all that" But ive searched on here and many people said it only took them 30mins!?? For those of you who had it, how hard is it to install and how long did it take you? 30min? I know RP said it took him 30mins as well, Reason im asking in this section too is because their throwing a fit over the Wiring harness..... how hard is it to remove the stock wiring harness and install the one that comes with the kit? Thanks guys

 

You don't remove the stock harness. There's no removal involved.... Pull two latches on each side, unplug the OEM headlights, and throw them away. Then, attach the two connections on the battery, clip the wiring harness to the top of the radiator shroud, connect the OEM connectors to the Xenarc connectors, and plug the lights into the Xenarc connectors. Reinstall and aim them and you're done.

It really is an hour max.... don't pay anyone to do it for you. If you're in the neighborhood, I'd be MORE than happy to do them for you.

Thanks for the explination guys, had someone else that was nice enough to explain it to me last night too, that helps alot more i think a buddy of mine will give me a hand and we'll get it handled, shops are so gay saying it will take 5 hours, then the one wanting me to leave it, IDIOTS!
