Before I install Dynamat over the doors, I figured I would fix these damn power door locks. When locking/unlocking the locks feel sluggish. Sometimes after unlocking/locking a few times they quit working completely but I can still hear a click under the dash. This happens to both doors at the same time.

I figured it was the actuators and I took out the passenger one tonight and looked at the motor and it was very clean. No dust as others described. So before I went to NAPA and bought new ones, I wanted to see if my problem could be a fuse or relay. Sometime simple maybe?

Oh yes, truck is a 1999 XLT with 113xxx miles. I also have a clifford alarm if that helps at all.

 

replace em. I just did mine. Same symptoms as yours. I bought mine at ford for 54 each.
