Overhead console temp ????

The temperature displayed on my overhead display unit (thingy) is roughly 3 degrees farenheight above ambient temperature. Is there any way that I can adjust the settings or readout or is that a high dollar dealer only fix? TIA

+/- 3-5 degrees isn't excessive or unusual for the ambient temp display. I wouldn't worry about it.

Mine is off about the same. I cant understand how the temp. is as accurate as it is, given the placement of the sensor. If I am not mistaken, it is on the outside of the radiator support. Just in front of the grill? Anyway, I dont worry about it much.

I wouldn't worry about 3 degrees either way. IMO it's not worth a trip to the dealer.

You might try replacing the sensor.... it's underneath the black plastic radiator cover, next to the hood latch. I can't imagine it's a very expensive part, and can't say if it'll fix your problem or not, but hey, it's worth a shot, right?
