alarm and actuators
ok so i got some actuators put in and alarm on my 05 stx. the alarm is a rebel i believe. anyways i pick up the truck everything works i am happy. i go pick up my girlfriend and i try to unlock her door using the key fob. DOESN'T WORK! i called the place right away to see what the deal was. they said that when the truck is on that the alarm cuts off. so i can use any of the features. my question for you guys is...is there anyway i can tap into the actuators and put a button to lock and and unlock the doors while the truck is on" thanks in advance!
Sure you can. Your power lock trigger wires are both negative. What you need to do is get a rocker switch or two position switch, connect the common terminal to ground, and tap into either the remote wiring (don't know what rebel uses), but if installed correctly, those wires will connect to:
Pink/yellow, and Pink/lt green. These colors are your Ford wires that control the locks. The common colors for remote start lock/unlock are blue and green. they are typically on their own plug at the box and finer guage wires compared to the rest. But who knows, maybe rebel has a five wire output?
Never the less... go look for those pink/xxx wires and follow any connections to your remote start. I'm beginning to ramble so stick with the first paragraph and wiring colors!

I can buy one that locks into a position right? Well if someone could explain that would be great. Where and which wire do I grab for?
