Fog lights/high beams

Can any one talk me through how to go about having my fog lights on when I turn on the highbeams. They work fine with the low beams but Ford came up with a great idea to have them shut off when you switch on the high beams???? Go figure.
I have a F150 2001, 5-speed manual tranny, 4X4.
Thanks
Please dont respond if you are going to say "why would you want your fog lights on with your high beams, bla bla bla." Its because I want them too....

no wait, do you know anything bout wiring, if you do test the wires to find out what runs what and switch the wire for the fog lights from being connected to the low to the high

Hey Guys,
To make the fogs come on with the high beams, use a kit from Painless Wiring. I used the one for a Chevrolet pick up and it works fine. The part number is 30802 if I'm not mistaken. I have it installed on my 97 F-150 with the 2004 Fog lights in my 97 bumper and it looks awesome. It takes the guess work out of finding the wires and getting the right ones. Takes just under an hour and the price is right. Good luck.

I am guessing that it cant be that hard to do, I mean if they come on with the low-beams then its just a matter of rigging the wires properly to have them on with the highs also.......But I still need some help

There are a dozen different ways to do it.... it all depends on the function you want it to have. You can splice a pair of wires so that they always come on with the headlights, you can have them always on with the parking lights, and if you modify the switch, you can have them controlled by the switch whenever the parking lights, headlights, or autolamps are on.

It just depends on what you want it to do.

To answer a statement in the first post....Hi beam fog operation has been technically illegal for a long long time, is why it's not done on cars or trucks in the Ford line, from the factory.
In Pa. it is an inspection item.
