gauge problem after battery install

I just replaced the original battery in a 97 F250. My oil pressure and water temp gauges seem to work fine when I first start the truck, but then go to a max reading and stay there after a minute or so. The fuel gauge seems to be mostly OK; the voltmeter is fine. If it sits overnight, it does the same thing again. Thanks for the help.

did you remove any other wires at all? make sure there is a good ground from the firewall to the engine block or another grounding source. just sounds like a bad ground.

Thanks; I'll check the ground wire.
