Hello all,
I bought a stolen and recovered 04 expedition xlt. The theives stole the theft light off of the dash and cut the wires. I bought a new light but it had 6 pins and I only have 4 wires sticking out of the dash. Any one have a schematic of this area? I looked at 5 parts stores for the repair manual but no one has it.

My other prob. is that I have only one already cut key. It has not been programed. Can a locksmith do this or does it have to go to Ford?

OR would anyone with an '03 or newer Expedition mind poping up their theft light off of the dash and telling me what wires go where on the plug?

I'll look at our '05 Expy later and see.

And in regards to the key, if you have no programmed keys available, you'll need to take a trip to your local dealer to get two keys programmed.

 

Darn, I was hoping you wouldn't say that. I'll start pricing dealers tomorrow. Thanks for taking a look at the theft light for me.

Don't forget the lock shops. A lot of them now have the "junior" computer that will let them add keys. Some are more than the dealerships, some are less. And who would cut a better key?
