Best place to Tap into the ignition circuit for accessories

Installed elec fans and some accessories. where is the best place for 12v source thats switched from the key???

If you have time, go to an auto parts store and get a 'fuse tap kit' or 'add a circuit' kit (3-5 bucks). The are really handy and easy to use. They basically plug into any fuse location (in your case, pick a switched fuse, like the radio or a/c fuse, etc.). You take the existing fuse out, plug the tap kit in (which has a wire extending from it that you will use for your fans) and place two fuses in the tap kit - one for the original fuse and the other for your fans. My Efan kit from Troyer had one of these and it's pretty slick.

I have done this from the panel under the dash but it requires very small "add-a-tap" devices.
Never try to run high current devices this way directly.
Away use this method to operate a relay that handles high current right from a heavy battery supply thru it's own fuse and wire of sufficient size.
Look at the owners manuel listing on what fuses feeds what function that will be switched as you need.
