dead batt..

truck was not running...Radio was on for five to ten minutes....dead battery...got it bosted in the morning run truck all morning.....This afternoon turn the truck off...battery is dead, called road side...In December I had problems with this, reflash alt replacement was done...Right now I don't have the time to visit Ford, at some point, I will have to, any how, no green light on the battery, volt meter shows 12 volts and the truck is now starting ok...I'm tired ( hard day at work ) and I suspect the battery is toasted....

What do you want here?
Is there still a warrenty?
The battery should not be faulty this soon but it happens at times.
I would check the terminal tightness and starter relay connections. Just may be all there is to the problem.
The alternator can charge ok but trying to draw large currents back thru the same faulty connection doesn't work well.
The next item is look at the charge rate with a meter or an LED tester calibrated to tell voltage levels after starting, while running etc to tell what the alternator is doing.
On these later trucks the PCM has a lot to say about how the charge is controlled as opposed to the older trucks.
Battery may have been over charged too long and now is about dry and won't hold much of a charge capacity.
Ah, how advances affect out lives.
Good luck.
