Hey, i put my window down this morning and later in the day i couldn't getit back up...the passenger window works fine, and the moon roof works fine, but the drivers side window will not go up...i checked all the fuses under the dash and in the power distribution box, and the auto down relay makes a clicking sound when i push the switch...if there is anyhting i can do about this that is simple or if anyone knows what it could be, let me know!! thanks

 

Sounds like you need a new Power Window Regulator (Motor) You can probably get one at Autozone, If not. They're pretty cheap to order online.

I'm pretty sure they come with directions, you just gotta pop the door panel open and it.

Hope you have a place to store your truck or something. If you're here with me in florida you'd know about all this rain! Sheesh...

 

I figured mine out today. I took apart the switch to see if I could see anything physically wrong with it. I removed the switchs from the switch assembly. I you look at the underside of the switches thenselves, there are three white plastic acuators ( fingers) on each switch- drivers and passengers side. I noticed that there are little nubs about 1 mm. long on each of them. The one that controls the "up" function was missing. That is what was causing the problem. That 1 mm. was keeping the contact from connecting. I just cut some plastic pieces off the roll of some teflon tape I had laying around ans super glued it on the end of that finger. I works fine now. I called a Ford dealer around here and they want $88 for the switch. No way ! Anyway, that is how I solved that problem. Hope that this might work for you.
