no wipers, no stereo, no AC
no wipers, no stereo, no AC
so my cd changer wasnt working and so i got in there and changed the fuse but it blew right away so i pulled the wire from the front of the fuse box (aftermarket changer - i put 5amp line to the front of the fuse box and just jammed the wire in with a fuse) that fuse was blown so i changed it.(been running it this way for a year now with no problems.) i noticed smokey smell from the fuse box. i pulled and checked every fuse - all good (after i changed the one blown - it went to the door chime.) i didnt check relays. i dont know of a way to check except swapping one for another. i have my little continuity tester - can i use it somehow?
i pulled the dash and searched for exposed or burned wires. pulled fuse box but cant get in the back of it. did not see anything that would indicate that something litterally burned up. got everything put all back together and left battery unplugged for a long time still no AC compressor, wipers, or stereo. i dug out my haynes manual but havent found what im looking for.
i wired the compressor to a toggle switch so at least i have AC. getting to work was a huge PITA in the wet fog with no wipers.
any ideas? one relay for wipers, stereo, AC?
im going to swap relays around.
btw - this is on my 2000 150 - XL 4.2 w/ 5speed.
