Question Wiper control arm bushings, source

2000 F150. Looking for the white plastic (nylon) windshield wiper control arm bushings. They look to be replacable but I have not seen the bushings for Ford trucks in any of the parts stores and parts counters have been of no use. Assuming it may be a dealer item, Ford sais it's not a servicible part and only sell the complete assy at $179. BS, we're talking about a $.50 plastic bushing. Can someone direct me to a source and/or manufacturors part number or substitute. I melted and reformed the bad one to get by for a while but need to replace and am not spending $179 for this repair.

Your help is appreciated,
ricochet

Both my bushings just wore out during a rain storm, so I also need two as I have no wipers right now, just using rain-x on the windshield... I can't find a place to buy them either, has anyone found a source for these? The old ones dont keep the control arm on the linkage anymore... Two, maybe three wipes and the arms stop working. Appears to just need a pair of .50 cent bushings, but I can't find them. Please let me know if anyone has an idea where I might be able to buy them. Like ricochet I would prefer not to spend $179 to repair $1.00 worth of plastic.

Thanks,

Matt

Replacements

I know this is too late for the OP but for anyone else out there looking, you can use the link above, or at least for my fellow Canadians, you can go to NAPA, part number 600-3505, It was around $14 for 4

Best of luck
