96-f150 alternator

96-f150 alternator

I am fixing to replace alternator ..parts store has a 95 amp available..i am wondering if this was only size put on these trucks...? they say this is only size they know of...i'm thinking that this is only size they have in stock ..will appreciate any info on this

I know if you go to www.partsamerica.com and type in P/n 3211303 it will give you an ac delco 130 amp 6 rib pulley for $184.99 + $55.00 core but that was for the 1996 f-150 with a 300 staight 6. You never left your engine size so I couldn't help you. I'm not sure if it will fit 8cyls but if your really looking to increase your amperage you can take it into a local starter and alternater rebuild shop and they can put a larger rated internals in it for you. Check your phone book you should have a shop near you.
