How to up grade trailer wiring

Hi I have a 2004 f 150 8200 gvwr with all the goodys for towing coolers etc but not hitch and only four pin trailer plug . I have installed the hitch and bought the factory 7 pin trailer plug but I have no power to charge my trailer batt is the anything i have to do to hook it up also I want to Know how to hook up my trailer brakes

Usually need an extra relay and a fuse. Look in the owners book at the fuse and relay discriptions and check the fuse box to see what and where they go.

In addition to Bluegrass' note, I'm sure you can buy the factory package minus the wiring... When I bought my truck, the relays with instructions came in a bag all together to hook-up when you are ready to tow.
