The odemeter in my '99 Expedition works--but about half of the time it doesn't light up. Sometimes it does. Even when it doesn't light up, if the light is right while driving at night, you can see the numbers still turning. I guess the other guage lights provide enough illumination so the numbers can be faintly seen. Any idea of what the problem is and how to fix?

 

This is a relatively easy fix, if you are handy with a soldering iron.
