Exclamation Help, need to get to work!

When I tried to start my 01 Screw this morning, it made the clicking noise like the battery was weak. I tried to jump it with the wife's car, no good, I put my trickle charger w/ 50 amp start feature, no go. When I turn the switch on the battery light comes on, then slowly goes out, but as soon as I try to start it, it's right back to the clicking noise. Also after I remove the charger I hear a clicking under the hood in the fuse box(?) area as well as somewhere else near the top of the engine. Anyone got a clue!? Battery ? Need to fix quickly, stranded.
Thanks for any quick help. Steve

Tapped on solnoid, still clicking. Factory battery and the indicator in battery is green. Had the charger on now for an hour, charger says its charged, but as soon as I try it drops.
Anyone got a clue?

Check the cable at the starter motor. There are a few that have reported corrosion issues there...

I will search in the meantime...

If you found the solenoid, it is mounted to the starter.

Thumbs up THANKS everyone

Thank again, looks like it was the battery. Took it in and had it checked, it drained under load. $89.00 later, cranks fine.
I will still check starter connections. just too be sure.

Just like an old Chevy man to jump to quicky on a Ford problem's back!
I guess you have to replace a battery every now and then.

Anyway, great forum. Thanks again.
