keypad entry PLEASE HELP

I have 2 keypads and would like to hook one of them up to my truck it is a 1999 F-150 5.4L Lariat 4x2 and it has the 5 diget code on the white bax just like the tutoral says

now those 2 keypads

I have one is part #1F2T-14A626-ADYGAG and the numbers are like the one on the door handle and it is a cheap looking plastic it is made out of and the numbers are really big

the other one is part #4L2T-14A626-AAW and the the plastic has a nice finish to it and it has a protective clear sticker on it also the numbers are up and down like the new Explorer on the virtical part of the door and the numbers are small and verry nice looking

here is the problem they both have the same plug or wiring harness hook up and it only has 6 points of contact the tutoral shows 8 wires and all you can hook up is 6

so since I cant find the plug that fits it and the FORD dealer cant help so I was going to make my own and just solder to the leads and shrink rap then use a different 6 wire plug and just splice it in to the box but all i would have would be 6 wires so where to put them?

I cant get anyone at the ford dealer to help and since I already got the keypad I will just cut a hole in my handle and put it in there like the stock one so I dont have to buy the correct parts and wiring for my truck I figure a keypad is a keypad so pressing them should do the same thing

sorry this is so long if anyone has a clue please help

You are farther ahead to just get the right one for your truck. The older keypads were analog and used 8 wires, the newer ones are digital and only have 6 wires. They are not interchangeable.
