Dash Lights
Dash Lights
I recently bought a 97 F150 4x4. So I have now joined this board!
From some reading on here in the last couple of days this seems to be a very good resource.
My questiion is the right side of the dash does not light up when the head lights are on. (85 mph and up, oil pressure, and voltage i think). Anyway is this any kind of an easy DIY fix for a mechanic novice? It doesn't bother me so much I would want to pay someone to fix it but if I could pull this off I would do it myself.
Thanks for any help!
Mark
edit: I should proof read BEFORE I submit!

It could be a fuse, or it could be burned out lightbulbs. Are the environmental controls out as well? Changing bulbs isn't too bad, but it requires you take out a lot of screws. The worst part is unseating the bulbs from the instrument cluster! Just watch out for that hidden screw behind the light switch, you'll have to stick a screwdriver behind the dash to move a slider on the headlight switch assembly, pop it out, and then you can get access to the "hidden screw"
