Cruise Control

Same Issues as before. Where is the fuse located for this system. If it is stated in my Chilton's manual, I haven't found it.

"99 F-150,5.4 Liter

Thanks.

Depends... the controls in the steering wheel are powered by circuit 7 (20A) in the battery junction box. The speed control servo is fed from circuit #5 (15A) in the central junction box. The brake pedal position switch is fed from circuit 15 (5A) and the brake pressure switch is fed from circuit 13 (20A) both in the central junction box.

Hope that answers your question.

Joe,

Thanks for the reply... I made a feeble attempt to get into the steering wheel to see if I could get to the ACCEL/Coast (I think) switch (the larger one on the right side)... It has been sticky for a long time, due to a Coke spill or worse. Is it worth the trouble to try and get to it?

Thanks,

Paul

If it was me, I wouldn't go through all the trouble to remove it and then attempt to clean it. I'd want to be sure I wouldn't need to remove it again, so I'd go ahead and replace it. It's only $200 for the whole steering wheel at the stealership.... less from a salvage yard. But then, I'm weird that way...
