92f150 dome light doesnt come on with left side door ajar switch

it is a 92 f150 ext cab and recently i have been having problems with the door ajar switch on the left side that is on the "b pillar" (it is a sealed plastic 3 wire switch as shown here http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductD...pe=405&ptset=A) it worked fine for a long time...but about a month ago it started giving me problems when i would open the door the button would come out on the switch but the light wouldnt come on... and if i were to grab the button and wiggle it the light would come on without a problem as if the switch were acting up...and for the record the screw that holds the switch in place was plenty tight at this point in time.

this problem seemed to gradually get worseover time and then finally one day the light just didnt come on ...i beat and wiggled and sprayed with wd40 this switch and no luck....the end i thought so i didnt even bother testing it i just ordered a new switch...i get the new switch today and plug it in and ummm...NO LIGHT so here i am out in the yard swearing up a storm and hoping that i didnt get a bad switch so i tested it for continuity and shows good....i test my old one and also good...

so here i sit angry at a stupid little light circuit...only because i dont know where to look now ...i broke out the haynes manual hoping to find a wiring diagram including this circuit but NOTHING

the thing that has me puzzled is that i can turn on the dome light without a problem by turning the headlight **** all the way to the left or by opening the right side door which is a different style switch(a 2 wire switch that threads directly into the "a pillar"

WHERE DO I LOOK NOW ...HELP.! IT IS DRIVING ME NUTTS

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ok as an update ...i broke out the multimeter once i calmed down and found that there is about 12v coming into the center terminal on the door ajar switch from there i tried to see if the power was making it to the light itself and i get power from the right side door switch...and also from the headlight **** but nothing flowing to the light from my left door ajar switch..right at this point it is dark out there so i will do more tomorrow but does anyone know

1)is there anything in between this left door ajar switch and the power feed terminal for the dome light?

2)knowing that there are probably 3 wires from the 3 different sources of power(left switch ,right switch and headlight ****)where do these 3 wires meet to run as a single wire into the connector at the dome light?

3)what is the 3rd wire for on the left side door ajar switch? possibly a ground...i dono

4)still hoping to find a wiring diagram showing wire color codes and where they run to/from

well needless to say the problem is fixed and it turned out to be a broken wire leading from the fusebox to the switch....

yes i know what youre thinking ...."how is that i said there was power coming into the connector at the switch in my other post " i really dont know what to say maybe the good drugs are getting to me ...maybe i sniffed one too many paint fumes....
