Broke the wire at bottom of ignition switch

I was removing the shroud around the steering column on my 1999 F-150 to investigate why my turn signals would stop working when I would tilt my steering wheel down. Somehow I seperated the fine wire at the bottom ignition switch from the three progned flat wire that goes to a black module on the bottom of the steering column. I think this is part of the anti theft device. Anyway, I can't start the truck ( the engine just turns over) to get it to the Ford dealer which is 10 miles away. I'm I going to have to have it towed or is there a way I can bypass the system just long enough to start it and get it to the dealer? Or is this something I can by the part and fix myself?

Thanks you for any help.

You may have damaged the anti-theft transceiver module or "Halo Ring". This device recognizes the chip in the ignition key. If this is disabled, the engine will turn-over and no start. On the 2001 F150 it is located at the bottom of the cylinder lock, 1999 unknown - possibly the same location. This maybe a FORD only item.
