Cab lights won't go out!
I have an 2001 F150XLT and the problem I'm having is with the interior cab light and the exterior cab light. Even after ensuring that all doors are closed (slammed!) the lights have continued to stay on. Today, the lights went out, and as I watched (in horror) the lights came back on again. Does anyone have any ideas that can help me? I bought it used and needless to say I do not have an owner's manual..
The switch in the door is sticking. This is a common problem addressed about 1-2 times per week here. Open your door and squirt some WD-40 in the door latch. Open and close the door a few times to work it in. The switch is mounted in/on/against the door latch so lubing the latch will usually unstick the switch.
One case in 100 will not be fixed with the spray lube. In those cases most will have the switch replaced. The Ford dealer will typically nail you for $250 or more for the job. But for the other 99 of us the WD-40 works just fine.

Worked! Immediate relief, I no longer have to unhook the battery! Thank you very much! Here, have one on me!
