my power outlet doesnt work, my cig lighter works, I checked all my inner fuses but they were all good, and I checked for power in the plug and nothing. I even checked behind the plug where the wires go into the adapter and nothing. I cant find anything in my owners manual or the chiltons. can anyone help.

It is Fuse #1 in the power distribution box under the hood.
It is the only fuse on the circuit and the outlet is the only item on that fuse. It is totally secluded from anything and everything else.

Should be on page 166 in your owners manual.

 

My truck has the same problem. And I have replaced fuse #1 under the hood and it still doesn't work.
(BTW, it's page 211 in MY owner's manual)

Check to see if you have power in that fuse place then go which ever direction that leads you. You may end up having to try and find the schematics for it to know what wire to check and where it comes out at. There could possiably be a fusiable link. They are a P.I.A. But if the schematic does show one then that would be the next likely place to look.
