stock bumper lights

my 98 f150 didnt come with the lights in the bumper stock fog lights (clear) in front bumper. i went ahead and bought the lights at a wreck yard. cheap! and plugged them in.the stock wires for them are there already. but the head light switch inside of truck turned to the right and pull. somewhere its not hooked up. does anyone know how to hook it up. is it too hard or should i bypass it all and just do my own toggle switch?

you could try pulling ou the light switch and checking if all the wires are hooked up, there should be 3 plugs hooked up.

To remove light switch, turn lights on and pull out, then pry off **** with a small screwdriver in the notch at bottom of ****, then turn **** 180 degrees and push it back on, then turn counterclockwise, too the off position, then turn clockwise again and pull out on whole switch. It will just slide right out.

Don't try to pry it out of the dash, you will just break it!

Do you have the headlight switch that supports the fog lights? If not, I think that's all that you need...you can get a new one from Ford for about $60 or you can revisit that boneyard again and snag it out of the truck that you got the fogs out of...

My 97 had the factory lights installed but the fellow who I bought the truck from had after market lights tied into them, over drawing the circuit, There are 2 fuses 1 inside and one outside under the hood. open the fuse box under the hood looking down from teh drivers side second 15amp fuse down on the left. Took me a while to find that one :/

That is of course as stated above, your factory switch will handle fog lights, On a side note if the littlefog light emblem lights up below your factory switch then the inside fuse is ok. Least it was on mine.
