Did you check the power distribution box fuses under the hood?

I had a slightly similar experience today. Driving home in late afternoon, I adjusted the steering wheel to a lower setting, drove the rest of the way home and noticed my right blinker wasn't working. I backed into the driveway, parked, and tried the other blinker, then the emergency flashers, and they wouldn't work. I was about to check the fuses when I remembered adjusting the wheel earlier. Clicked it up a notch and everything worked again. Put it back down, and they cut out again.........They now work, with the wheel set back up, but I'm a bit troubled why it's doing this.....

Check that the plug under the dash is securley connected. After that your likely looking at replacing the steering column.
