Any ideas on some factory looking switches??

Hey guys,
I'm looking into making a little switch panel. I want it to blend into my interior though. I'm looking to put switches in for the spot lights up front, some backup lights, AC invertor power, and one extra unkown (yet) switch

But I am having a hard time finding some OEM looking push button type switches. And at the same time figuring out how to put a little light up emblem that has something to do with what the switch will actually be doing. Much like how in a stock truck the hazard button has the hazard sign on it.

Any ideas?

Ranger and Mustang fog switches from the 90's are the same shape/size as power window switches but have the backlit foglight icon for when they are on.

well I found some nice Blue led rocker switches from Painless. But now I can't figure out how to label the switches or switch panel. I'd really like to have the lable somehow illuminated. not quite sure if that's possible.

It will take some time and patience but the only to make your own light up icon or indicators is to sit and carve away with a Dremel tool. Have plenty of extra material and Lots of time because you will likely mess up after putting several hours in on it and have to scrap it and try again. If your luck is like mine it would be on the last icon just about finished and I would sneeze or something... LOL

if you made one, do you have any pictures of it? Sounds like a nightmare, and a very VERY small dremel bit. Though I do have a drill press. hmmmm. Got me thinking now. Could use the drill press with a small dremel bit in it.

No I do not have any decent pics. I havn't done any in several years and have sold those cars. Since the last post I have read on here somewhere that somebody did something with transperency paper and printed some off somehow.

I think I figured it out. I need the truck to decide on what material to use. But after doing some research on how people build their own airplane ****pits, I can use a think sheet of aluminun, stainless, or maybe even carbon fiber. And then have an engraver, engrave completely through the sheet. Put a pieve of plexi behind it, just for strength. And then I end up with a switch panel that has lighted emblems. I'm definetally going this route with my panel. But because of the process and work involved, I need to have my truck and decide on what material to have engraved and then exactly what and how many switches to put in it.

I'm thinking I will have the panel powder coated black after the engraving, and then put a thin quote of white paint on the plexi. That way the panel is black, the text is white, and with some blue LED's behind it, at night the text will be black.

Let me know your thoughts, or any steps that you may think will make it cheapier or easier.
