Trailer wiring-Complete my 7pin!
Trailer wiring-Complete my 7pin!

After some investigating during the install of my electric brake controller, I've found that I only have the minimum connections at the back of the truck. All trailer lights work, but there's no wire for the electric brake actuator nor the ignition 12v connection for charging the trailer. Now, I got the pigtail to snap straight into the factory harness from the back of the brake controller, and I see the wires coming out of the back of the factory harness, but there's notihing at the back of the truck. What to do? Is there a way to "add" to the stock harness for quick connectivity, or do I need to do random hardwiring from here?
Thanks-

You have to go the a dealer and get the harness for your truck.
It takes out the original and replaces it.
The new harness usually will have the 7 pin connector, frame mount and might also have the 4 pin on it.
I just done my 02 and a Prodigy installation. All plugup.
Also a trans temp and oil pressure gage.
