I have a 97 2wd f150 without a tow package. If I want to upgrade to the 130 amp is it a plug in deal or do I have to change other pieces to make it work properly?

 

If you get the alternator that is made for the F150/E150 then it is just: take belt off, two bolts and one wire nut. You may also have to change out the pulley. One more bolt up front.

I got mine on ebay from an ambulance modifier. Was U$80 for a brand new unit.
