Need Help with Turn signals

Hey have a 01 screw, and my tun signals quit working. This is weird..So I replaced the flasher bulb.seems to work and fix problem. Then last night when I use them they don't even flash at all.Just go black. So do you think it is the switch on the column? Is there a way of cleaning it, maybe the contacts are dirty. Then on the way home they start working again.so sometime they work, then sometime they don't.Any help would be great.

kaylef - Since you mentioned dirty contacts, you can see the pictures of my turn signal switch if you scroll down in the below link.

Your symptoms weren't exactly like mine, but it could be corrosion anyway.

Corroded contacts

Thanks

I will take a look at it, as they have gotten worse over the weekend. Now they just make this terrible noise, like it is a bad flasher relay. Onlty happens with the turn signals,as the 4 ways work just fine.Just called the dealership and part is like 87.00 bucks. So I'm hoping it it correded.Any other idea's? There really isn't that much in the loop right you ahve the switch and the relay or flasher relay and that is it? Or is there another relay somewhere?

Thumbs up EASY FIX

I WAS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MINE AND THOUGHT I WOULD HAVE TO END UP REPLACING THE WHOLE SWITCH, BUT ONE OF THE POSTS ON THIS SITE GAVE ME THE IDEA TO OPEN UP THE SWICH AND SEE IF THE CONTACTS WERE CORRODED. SO, THAT'S WHAT I DID AND HAD IT FIXED IN ABOUT 15 MINUTES ALL FOR THE COST OF A SMALL PIECE OF SANDPAPER. ITS WORTH A TRY!
