help with remote start

help with remote start

i just installed a crimestopper alarm/ remote start but as i finished and tried the remote start it didnt work and it was flashing theft on the dash so i read in the book that it wouldnt work so i am guessin i would have to bypass it so can some one help me out on this thanks

You'll need a bypass module, the F150's have the PATS module, the keys have a chip in them, to prevent people from making a copy of your keys.

where can i get a pat module and how much

another way

Look at your key and in the end of it there is the module.You can take that out of your key and tape it to the bypass module or ignition.You have to take off the molding around the ighnition if you don't want to by the pats system.

do i have to leave it taped to the ign. or is that just to program it.

hey there

I taped my right to the top of the Ignition module. You have to play with it and see where your truck like it. You may have to move it to the top or on side off the Ignition switch.Then just tape it there and your good to go. Also I found out if you have have two keys you have to remove the chip from both keys they seem to fight for signal.
