Power Inverter

I have a Vector 2000 Watt Power inverter that I want to install in my 2004 F150. Has anybody done this yet? If so, where have you located the inverter. There is no room in the engine bay to mount it which is where the manufacture recommends.

thanks

I have not done this but from my background in electronics, the engine bay would tend to be to hot for this type device if it were being used at considerabe power output levels with a hot engine in summer time.
Perhaps under a seat might be a better place as long as there is free flow of air.
Be sure to use the heavy wire feed to the device and a fuse at the battery feed point. Wire size should be at least #4.
The unit will draw in excess of 150 amps fully loaded and including conversion losses.
13.6 volts times 150 amps = 2040 watts for example.
