Exclamation horn goes off on its own

I hope someone can help me with this because it is an aggravating problem. The other day i was aggravated with traffic so i punched the steering wheel, and then a few minutes later the horn goes off and stays on until i push the right spot in the steering wheel. i had to pull the fuse which eliminated the cruise. i have isolated the preoblem to the left switch in the wheel. what i would like to do if possible is either replace that switch or just disable it so that i can use the right switch and have cruise control. What i need to know is how to access the switch, and if the wires are hidden which ones operate it. i have tried to take the front cover off but i am not sure how without ripping it and i am also worried about the airbag. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
jesse

I'm experiencing the same situation only mine ocurred after multiple punchings. Here are the replies I received: https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...hreadid=182476
Please share if you find any additional info or solution.
I'm not looking forward to buying a $300 airbag/horn switch but driving a couple weeks with no horn has not only been dangerous but frustrating as heck. Some people!!
