Headlight question
Ok, so this is a really silly question. I just bought an '05 F150 Lariate this w/e. It has the auto lamps... what is the difference between that and DRL's. Would there be both? I could have sworn that it had DRL's during the test drive. But now I've messed with the headlamp switch and can't get it to do anything.
Can't even figure out how to get the auto-lamp to work. I double checked in the book.... set it on the info center cluster, I think.
So now I'm at a loss and getting aggravated.
If the city wasn't gridlocked 'cause of a little snow, I'd drive it back down to the dealership.
Thanx,
Heather

DRL's come on all the time at 80% but only the head lights.
Autolamps come on when the photo cell see's its dark. turns on all the light and shuts them off automatically.
I'm not sure how to turn on the autolamps on a 04/05
you can ask in the 04/05 forum.

someone correct me if i'm wrong but to activate the autolamps, you just turn the **** all the way to the left. if you want the fogs to come on at the same time then you pull the know out when it's all the way to the left. i don't think we have the drl...
Auto and Day time can work the same
All you have to do is take a small paint brush with flat or gloss paint and cover the little black **** in front of the driver side dash all the way up front at the windshield then when you start the truck anytime the lights come on when you have but button turned to auto
