Day time driving lite kit by Ford

Does anyone have any experience installing the Day Time Running Light Kit (Ford Part No. F6SZ13B218AA) for the F150-I believe 2002,03,04?. I have a XLT '04.My local Dealer indicated that they had not install this kit and estimated a 2 hours installation time even though they indicated they didn't have a clue as to the size of the task.I don't want to be the "test bed" to give OJT for the dealership.
These kits are avail inCanada in production.
My previous Ranger's owners manual called out the feature on the Canadian production Ranger Police application.
I've been covering my sensor on the dash-that may be the most ecomicial way to go even though the kit would reduce voltage to the head lamps.

Bill, why not consider mounting a pair of small sizes lamps somewhere up front, with a switch on the dash for control.
Much cheaper do. The switch is mounted in the fuse cover panel as a press-in rocker type.

I have extra 'real' fog lamps that operate when the head lites are on low beam just like the stock lower lamps but can select either as conditions call for.
I also have side markers/turn signals extra and a pair of 55 watt backup lamps so I can see at nite out the dark windows and small mirrors. These new backup lamps require a seperate power source and a relay to operate them when in reverse.
Now when I back up, I burn the bark off the trees.

I had one installed on my 2003 SuperCrew.I had the parts dept order it for me and I was on a new job so couldn't find the time to put it on,they had already installed the Ford Gold remote start on my truck were I got my truck.I knew the tech was good on the alarm so the DRL kid would be a easy to do,the labor was high but worth it if they messed it up.The DRL works great so it was worth the money. With these new vels you cut the wrong wires, you mess something up in the elect system,I paided out too much too be cheap on something elect and take a chance. The instructions looked easy put I had the money at the time to have it done, but didn't have the time.
