Straight outta the 2003 Service Manual. (Minus the pictures).

Removal
- Position the mirror glass to obtain a gap at the upper edge of the mirror assembly.
- Release the mirror cover upper clips. (From the picture, it looks like 2 metal clips at the top)
- Remove the mirror cover and disconnect the signal mirror electrical connector.
Installation
- If equipped, connect the electrical connector.
- Apply sufficent force to the mirror cover until it snaps in place.
