Just bought my 1st Lightning 2003 model with 3,500 miles on it.
after switching on the headlights the dashboard lights sometimes decide to be either on or off sometimes on and off (most anoying) its only the dials tho as the rest of the instuments light up as normal?? Any ideas?? could it just be a relay etc.

You mean the switch? If I move the dimmer switch up and down it dimms and brightens the heating control lights and the milage indicators , lastnight as i was driving the dash lights came on then off again about 10 times in the space of 20 mins getting rather a pain in the butt now! would the conections for the dash lights be easy to get to or find do you think?? People, including myself had a similar problem with the odometer going on and off. It was one of the electrical connectors on the back. try doing a search here for odometer repair.

 

I FIXED IT!! well i didnt but the garage did, they got in a new dash but could not chage it over as the anti-theft would not allow it so he changed the lighting chips over ont eh PCB and it all works now!!
