airconditioning & Cruise control fuse
I Have a 1999 F150 5.4 Lariat, and I keep blowing the fuse for the cruise control and air conditioning circuit. I think it is the air conditioning clutch. Has anyone else had this problem? The mods that I have done are 2 1/2" exhaust to a flowmaster and a air box mod all this was done about 9 months ago this fuse started blow about a month ago I am starting to think it a lose ground It will work for week or so then it will burn the fuse

Do you mean the #5 15 amp fuse in the Central Junction Box under the dash on the left side of the steering column? Is your truck stock? Have you done any electrical mods to it?

thanks for help Benny
What mods have you done? Please list.
Something is causing the circuit to blow a fuse. Most likely something that is grounding the load before it goes to the Cruise control module or the Blower motor or the Blend door actuator.

This fuse doesn't supply the A/C clutch, but it does supply the selector switch, the high pressure cutout switch and the cycling switch all for the A/C system.
If the fuse blows immediately, it will be easier to find.
Connect an ohmmeter from the load side of the fuse to ground, then start unplugging each of the connectors on the branch corcuits until the short circuit goes away. Once you have identified the faulty branch circuit, it will have to be inspected to locate the fault.
A short circuit detector would come in handy, they cost about $40 and are very useful in locating the short.
