Thumbs down 1991 F150 No Spark

My 300 6cyl has died several times and now lost the spark. I replaced the ignition module, ignition pickup and distributor, had the coil checked and they said it was good. Also replaced the distributor cap and the rotor, still no spark. Any suggestions? I have juice to the distributor and the coil....

Does it attempt or seem to want to start when you are cranking it and than not start once you let go of the key? if so it is probably the elctric part your ignition switch.

this may sound odd but a friend of mine had a similar problem on his 88 and it was being caused by the wiring running to the starter. He was not getting power there but everywhere else.

You get no spark at all? Are you testing at the plugs or the coil? Put a test light into the negative side of the coil's power connector (to determine that, disconnect it, turn the key on and see which side has power, that will be the positive side), connect the other end of the test light to the positive side of the battery and crank the engine. The light should flash. If it light's steady your stator and module are bad (I know you just replaced them). If it's flashing, you have spark or a defective coil, check the coil wire also. If there is no light, the coil is bad.

Okay, did all that, took module, coil, everything and had them tested and they all tested out okay. Put them back in - no spark. I'm out of ideas as to what to do now.

Thanks for all input!

This thread is over 3 years old. I consider myself a self proclaimed expert with Ford ignition systems of this vintage. Tell me exactly how your truck is acting and what, if any, tests you've done so far. I will advise back. Also give year and engine size.
