1st I have searched the boards for the same problem, and have found not found the same problem. If i missed it please flame away.

So I post.

Its 2002 F150 Screw 5.4

this started recently the autolamp just keeps the lights on. Will not shut the lights off. Just leaves lights on, including the dash lights.

The switch works normally in "off, parking, headlight" positions.

Any thoughts?

This morning i went to start the truck, dead as a battery can be...

So I disconnected the Sensor and Pulled the fuse for autolamp no drain or dead battery.

Does someone have the FSM info on how to test the sensor to see if its bad or not.
