Factory CD Changer not working!?
I have a 1997 XLT Ext Cab that I recently bought from a pivate owner. He had informed me that the factory CD Changer was not working properly. The radio code informed us that the Changer wasnt receiving any juice from the radio.
After purchasing the truck I tried to see whatt eh problem was, so I took off the lining and took out the coupler attached to the changer to see if there was a hot wire when the radio was on. There was not, so there must be some kind of tripped fuse or something wrong with the wire rom the radio to the changer.
Has someone had this problem too?? Is there a wiring diagram I could use to locate the short?
Thanks!

My problem with it was that it would cycle through and either say "error" or "no disk".
It wouldn't eject the five CD's that were in there ! I ended up ripping it apart to get my disks back. Of course they were all damaged - the third track of each would skip. When I took it apart a little white "tooth looking thing" (I hope that isn't too technical) fell out.
The Alpine that I replace it with has never given me any trouble.
