airbag/clockspring
airbag/clockspring
I have a 94 f150 with a ABS code 32. According to the info I have collected, I have to replace the clockspring. The only part that concerns me is the airbag. I have had many colums apart, but never one with an airbag. Ase there special tools to get it out and the hadling of the airbag?
You need no special tools to remove the air bag, but you should disconnect the battery before removing it. The steering wheel will also have to be removed to get to the clock spring, you'll need a puller for that
If my memory serves me correctly a code 32 means there is a high resistance in the air bag circuit. The clock spring may be broken but, there may be some other reason for the high resistance. When I had a code 32 the problem turned out to be dirty contacts on one of the connectors in the air bag circuit.
